Jisogi has both put me back on watching Anime again, so it arguably succeeded tremendously in its goals. ;)

Ich denke auch Simulationen (konkret professional wargames) haben eine Art der Siegbedingung, da Teilnehmende einen beabsichtigten Endzustand erreichen sollen.

Wenn wir nur von Modellen als Veranschaulichungsobjekten sprechen, ist die Unterscheidung aber sicherlich zutreffend.

Mir fällt noch ein, dass ein Spiel welches alternative Siegbedingungen bzw. spieler-gewählte Siegbedingungen abseits mechanischer Optionen anbietet: The King's Dilemma führt auf sehr interessante Art und Weise Spieler*innen an den Gedanken heran was sie selbst als "gewinnen" beschreiben wollen.

Schön, dass ihr regelmäßig neue Folgen veröffentlicht. Ich höre euch gern unterwegs zur Arbeit. :)

Aber ich würde widersprechen, dass 'eigene Siegparameter setzen' an den Simulationscharakter eines Spiels gebunden ist.

Die Spieler*innen setzen ihre Parameter selbst, z.B. beim Spielen mit Kindern.

I think there has been a shift from criticism from a point of expertise to criticism from a point of personal taste.

For a variety of reasons, people choose not to differentiate between the two.

2. It's rare for any creative, including writers, to be able to live solely off their creative income. Moreover, there is no correlation between the creative value of art and the income status of its creator. It's okay to have another gig to eat and pay bills and survive our capitalist hellscape.

To be fair, I cherry-picked the quotes I found most resonant. And there some arguments I don't quite agree with, but only in their scope not necessarily their content.
