Mental health nerd. Wild swimmer.
Really recommend (and enjoyed!) this book. Possibly helpful for any leaders who need to gather colleagues to generate ideas, problem solve or otherwise think collectively.

It has a section on creating a sense of ease 💜 so important - false urgency kills thought

Perfectionism is very common among educators.

When we talk about wellbeing habits, we really don’t want it to become another thing to shame yourself with, or an extra ‘to-do’ item.

Give yourself grace, and find your own path. Even if there’s mistakes along the way.

Looking forward to chatting to Leeds Headteachers Association about staff wellbeing today. And Rochdale Secondary Headteachers tomorrow.

We’ll cover self-care, community care & culture creation.

All vitally important for staying well while doing purposeful work in a challenging system.

It can feel daunting to ask about suicidal thoughts and feelings. But asking about them doesn’t plant the idea. Often it can offer people relief that their distress is recognised.

This was a tough read today.

I’m a Samaritans listening volunteer. I find it tough to field so many calls from people who’ve fallen through the cracks of public services.

This needs to be a Govt. priority.

Ever have a nice big sleep but still feel groggy? It’s the worst!

It could be because you’re not getting the right type of rest - there’s 7 different kinds.

Personally, I need bags of sensory rest.

What about you? How can you carve out pockets of the right rest in the coming term? #Edusky
