The fight here tells me that the Mike Johnson Republicans know that ending the filibuster will help Dems if they win the next election and the Trump camp isn't worried because they have no expectations that future elections will matter.
If yesterday’s election results were a bellwether for the midterms and 2028, ending the filibuster would be a godsend to Democrats
