Is there a coding convention in Python that you just copy scripts and append “_improved” to the name?

Claude Code updates files in javascript apps, but when when it writes Python, it just spews out new scripts for every update.

It’s terrible!

Who do you think the Saudi government is going to send to represent them?
New: We analyzed Trump's meme coin -

At least 27 crypto wallets have picked up $100 million worth of $TRUMP coins since his team said the top holders would join him for an "intimate private dinner."

Huge profit for Trump; "the most brazenly corrupt thing a President has ever done"

How Trump team turned a dinner invite into a crypto boon worth millions
iNearly two dozen crypto wallets acquired more than 100,000 $TRUMP meme coins, worth roughly $100 million, after the team said top buyers could join the president for dinner.

After trying to follow Kevin Leneway's amazing tutorial on how to build products with AI, I realized that he is in a different league than me.

So I wrote it up.

You could make Apple Messages much more useful if it were more open.

But if it were more open, it would be abused by other apps.

I wrote a post about selling a startup and how you should separate the value of the company from the value of the time the acquirer is asking you to work for them.

Keep the two separate!

Eighteen Observations on Claude Code:
March 19, 2025 at 8:19 PM
I’ve heard Claude Code does not use Claude 3.5 or 3.7 - it uses its own fine tuned version of one of those.

It’s really good at code, but the fine tuning seems to have washed out its ability to write.

All the writing is descriptive and flat.
March 18, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Claude code is happy to write a lot of code, inline a lot of styles and brute force anything that isn’t working with even more code.

And I love it.
Supposed to be sorting out presents for my wife's birthday, but got distracted by a terrible take on LinkedIn where they're mesuring dev productivity by lines of code written and therefore worked out Claude Code is 2,500 more productive than a human.

Was a Principal Enginner at Microsoft no less.

Claude Code is getting updates multiple times a day. This one is great:
• Ask Claude to make a plan with thinking mode: just say 'think' or 'think harder' or even 'ultrathink'

There are SO many of these features not found abroad, that we accept because they’re small things individually. The sprinklers, the supervised alarms, the standpipes – and now the 1.5m stairs, the vestibules, and the five-figure cost for an alternative analysis by a fire engineer.
