Last thing, there is some really nice public art in some places but a lot of the station walls are just blank concrete and are really screaming out to have a mural or something. That's putting aside the somewhat questionable all white "mental institution chic" design language.

I woke up at 3:55 this morning to stand in -25 degree weather for two hours and visit every station of the Eglinton Crosstown. This 8000-word essay contains all of my thoughts and a whole lot of photos. The overall takeaway? It's good, but there's things to improve.

I'm always surprised when anyone asks me for advice on making cel shaded renders as I'm very much still learning #Blender3D myself and scraping by on tutorials. 😅

But of course, everyone needs to start somewhere, so here's a thread with what I've learned so far and some good tutorials I've used! 🧵

Auferstanden aus Ruinen, one might say!
The Union Projekt has kicked off with a first animation and a new way of going about worldbuilding for me: chopped up radio transmissions.

I'm embracing east german socialist space moods for this one, let's see if that's for someone out there! #scifiart

#TrainNews: All three Hamilton MPs appear to be united behind the retention of the Te Huia passenger rail service between Hamilton and Auckland, as well as potentially expanding it to Tauranga.

(Almost) all aboard for Te Huia trips to Tauranga
The Stack the Station rally in Frankton drew a crowd of about 400, all keen to see the retention and expansion of Te Huia - with one exception.

bonus one of franklin's
franklin and trevors are mostly handheld, with trevors incorporating zoom more so than franklin's.

Kind of scrapped a post idea discussing the differences in how michael/franklin/trevor cutscenes are filmed.
But in doing so i did have this thing which shows the camera as a physical object which looks kinda neat with the handheld style scenes.
