Happy birthday to the Soviet linguist Yuri Knorozov who casually deciphered the Mayan script in 1952 and got pissed when editors removed his cat as co-author on papers or cropped her out of his author headshot (the only picture of himself he even liked)

I have built a website to automate the procedures in the Architect of Worlds book by Jon Zeigler.
The URL is: aahench.pythonanywhere.com

Star systems and 3D star maps can be randomly generated.
Every world has a map.
The output URL can be saved and shared to re-generate the same result.

Anyone who has tried killing a mosquito inherently understands the difference between 'detection' and 'target acquisition,' whether they realise it or not.

Just like Todd intended
Played some skyrim to unwind

Went swimming to catch some fish for alchemy, discovered a stag grazing on the bottom of the lake.

At the risk of sounding a bit too much like @izzy.dizzydeer.gay, after watching Episode 7 of 'Ruri Rocks: Introduction to Mineralogy' I'm gonna be pretty pissed if Ruri and Shoko do not get together by series end.

I mean, COME ON! It's there! It's palpable!!!
FOLLOW THROUGH, YOU *COWARDS*!

Having a 3D Printer in hands is giving me ideas. Dangerous ideas.

Ideas such as 'what if I modelled and printed a little model representing every 'High Frontier 4 All' patent card so I could make little models of my ship stacks during play?'

Terrifying.

I assume this has to do with licensing and the new BSG game that is coming out, but BSG: Deadlock is honestly one of the best space-capital-ship tactics games I've seen, so I'd suggest frankly grabbing it before the Nov 15 cutoff if you can.

Always wondered about this.
The term “manifold” comes from “Mannigfaltigkeit,” which is German for “variety” or “multiplicity.” www.quantamagazine.org/what-is-a-ma...

Surprised at just how realistic 'Ruri Rocks: Introduction to Mineralogy' is in its depiction of undergrad researcher life.

Up to and including the usage of people younger than oneself as a source of free, unpaid labour! 😀👍

If I had a penny for every movie based on a plastic toy IP that skilfully co-opted its mandate to advertise a product into an actually competent film with an actual message and something to say starring Will Ferrell in a somewhat antagonistic role, I'd have two pennies.

Which is like, REALLY weird.
