Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

My position is clear: I am unequivocally opposed to any new fossil fuel development — including LNG.
We must have the courage to say this to every government, of any stripe: if you’re building new pipelines or fossil infrastructure, this shall not pass.

If we had universal basic income, we'd have so many more entrepreneurs, artists, non-profit leaders, etc.
When people's basic needs are met, we're able to dream and build.
It's time we define freedom as FDR did and it must include freedom from want.
