Playing Void Stranger finally now that I got a couple of 1CC runs of ZeroRanger.
Game is a real brain-tickler. I'm not really a fan of puzzle games but this does take me back to playing Braid a billion years ago. Pretty sure Braid was the first game I ever got on Steam.

And M2? They're the GODS of porting old shmups man. Anytime they work on something, it just becomes THE definitive way to play it. So nice to see the dynamic difficulty of Gradius in real time.

It's interesting how classic game design is now subversive, to the point of practically being postmodern. Mario used to have a timer that would kill the player when it ran out. Games would kill players for reasons besides "you missed the roll / parry timing."
