I saw the article on Stuff and thought I would add: we buy a lot of fresh veg, but struggle with eating it before it turns to green slime, until we bought some of those ‘fridge keeper’ balls designed to remove Ethylene gas - now stuff lasts, crisp and fresh, for weeks

It was pretty good.

I’ve been on a bit of a rough-puff mission, lately.

The final result, and a wee apricot dessert:

At a personal level:

Winter - only two days of really low production
The 2 really high use days was us using 24 hours of free power we needed to use before they expired

We got rid of all gas appliances

Most Phaidon Press books are.

‘Mexico’ is a work of art - the jacket is made from neon-pink paper lace. I have about a dozen Phaidon cookbooks and architecture books - the Southern Cooking one is going on the list.

There’s no comparison with the antenna of US AM stations

You should see RNZ’s 100kW AM antenna

Stade Francais is a Parisian club, who have their home ground at Stade Jean-Bouin, which is where we bought it

They have a great fan store. We went to get a jersey from the store - they had no more at the mail-order warehouse. We picked up the hat at the same time.

Are you always this contrary?

I make my wife wear her rouge, blanc et bleu coq sportif hat whenever NZ plays France

She wore it to school last year and I’m not sure she’s lived it down, yet.

Mate, the kind of weaponry available in just a moderate US gun shop is eye watering,

Ruger SR-556 Takedown breaks quickly into individual components, is readily available with no licence in Utah for ~$600

It uses NATO spec military rounds and is perfect for backpacking a killing machine

I'm counting down!

I've just (yesterday! ) finished the latest of Mick Herron's Slough House books.

TV has kinda spoiled it for me, because I can't see anyone but Kristin Scott-Thomas, Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden and Saskia Reeves in my head

This has been explained ad nauseum

The vax didn’t make them sick

It helps if you use facts:

Total fatalities in Korea: 6,772
Pre-vaccine: ~4100
Post-vaccine: ~2,700

When you look at the case fatality rate, you get a more accurate picture. Aus, NZ, SK compared to high (US) and low (Bangla) vax
