If I decided it was too much bother to clean my house so I moved into an igloo in Antarctica for the rest of my life, you'd think I was awful stupid.
Tech bros deciding they'd lose too much profit if they stopped destroying the Earth because they can move to Mars someday is even stupider.

In Trump's Economy, Santa Claus Only Comes for the Billionaires
The Republican playbook is as dastardly as it is familiar: shower the rich with tax giveaways, spike the federal debt, and then demand working people like you sacrifice Social Security, healthcare, and a more decent life.

When I first came to bluesky almost everyone used alt text. It makes me sad so many don't now, because alt text is really important for inclusivity.

I haven't shared non alt text images, even if they have good messages. But am thinking I'll start sharing some as quotes with alt text.

Any thoughts?

Trump’s greatest political ability was to get low information, low propensity voters out to vote for him. People who don’t have X and couldn’t tell you who we’re about to go to war with, much less find Venezuela on a map. They have no idea how tariffs work. To them, this is all good. trib.al/wuaS2hL
The MAGA Crack-Up Is Overrated. MAGA Is Here to Stay.
Sure, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens, and Tucker Carlson are squabbling. But the underlying ideology remains as powerful as ever.

I'm not allergic to rice but am intolerant. Sometimes I'll still choose to eat a bunch of rice (cause free will) then the next day I'll be really groggy, foggy, and have an unhappy tummy and intestines.

Ingesting stuff I kmow I shouldn't is definitely a choice. You know, unlike being gay or trans 👀

The disappearance of America’s leadership class at a time like this means that the rest of us have to be leaders. We can no longer wait to be led by those with the power and authority to lead. You must lead, I must lead, all of us must lead. We are the leaders we’ve been waiting for.

Print it.

Put it in a frame.
