Pockets are very easy to add in - I put there up against the button and for stability.

And this cardigan was entirely steeked, easy to do with proper Shetland yarn.

Naturally, I already have another colourwork project on the go, as well as a pair of socks!

I've moved house twice and misplaced my button collection since I started this Tìoraidh Cardigan from #KateDavies Allover collection.

New buttons were finally sewn on this morning, so I declare it finished! (I washed and blocked it the other week when I added the afterthought pockets).

Happy #LancashireDay, apparently the most underrated county in the UK. And where I live now, just.

But this is what I meant, which is known as a creel or also as a ceiling airer or sometimes 'kitchen maid'. Brilliant if you have a fire/woodburner as there's good ventilation and rising heat (assuming you want it in your living room where the fire is)

We've had Scotia for half her life now. Eight weeks old to four months old. From a puppy to a small housewolf.

One cardigan finished and currently blocking on my woolly board; another dug out of a house-moving box and about to be flogged back. Not inspired by it, I have better use for the yarn.

Scotia, despite looking as if butter wouldn't melt, is not safe around #knitting. I haven't tested her on other crafts yet. I left the room for a moment and she grabbed it!

(Yes, I found all the pieces. The socks now on metal dpns)

Scotia had her 2nd vaccination today; very glad I'm not carrying her everywhere, she's nearly 14kg at 3 months old!

And the last of the flowers in my garden, before sunrise today.

Oh absolutely.

And all those classic Westerns - the men look pretty authentic, the women all in 'modern' fancy dress and makeup and hair.

After days of rain, suddenly we have a beautiful evening.

It might even dry up underfoot before it rains again.

We retrieved Scotia from her breeders yesterday and brought her home through vile weather.

I spent a largely sleepless night downstairs with her, but she's settling in. And she's almost fully housetrained already, so beautifully brought up.

Certainly lots of chewing (by her) and cleaning (by me) ahead.

Last visit to see Scotia with her family before she comes home next week.
