Haha, I'm the same, probably why we ended as artists.

I wasn't sure of the numbers myself, which was why I asked. Be much easier if they just taxed the rich.

But if they increase the minimum wage, but don't raise the lowest band tax threshold, then does a lot of that increase not get eaten up in tax?

I'm NOT condemning a minimum wage increase at all. Just suspicious it becomes a stealth tax on the poorest working people.

Paramount bought the rights before Airplane was released so they couldn't be sued!

Yeah sure I remember reading somewhere (series bible maybe) that each series was supposed to jump forward a decade.

Ok. Once again, thanks for the spam. What I really needed was a defense of the broken neoliberal system.

Money is a human construct. We don't need to live this way. We are destroying the planet and our species following a broken system which enriches the few at the benefit of the many.

I think I'll stick to my idealism, you can have your 'pragmatism.' At the end of the day people are suffering, and its those that are sufferig bearing the brunt of a broken economic system.

Thanks for the spam, but I dont think we should be punished for these stupid inhumane policies.

Yeah, and they've clealy been working for the people, haven't they? Really brought down the deficit and ensured fairness and equality?

It doesn't help that the SNP and Lib Dem candidates don't even have addresses in the Stranraer and Rhins area.
November 23, 2025 at 7:00 PM
I'm not sure Stranraer is a good enough barometer for the rest of Scotland. Stranraer has been long rejected by both it's local authority, the Scottish and UK Governments. The results make me queasy to be from there. Mr Reform was driving around pumping slogans out of a van with no MOT.

The argument in favour of AI is that it cuts employee costs for businesses that simply can’t afford those staffing levels.

But a successful businesses not having enough money to pay the required number of staff is a *decision*. And a side effect of endlessly moving money up, away from most workers.
