My hobby is making games. I'm still learning.
Currently learning to program games with LÖVE and Godot.

Experimeting a little with 3D in Godot. Lots to learn still. Here's just a little 3rd person controller. It has a basic node-based state machine and a camera that follows around and collides with objects so it doesn't get stuck inside.

I gave myself the challenge to make a game in LÖVE over the weekend. I ended up going a little bit over the deadline because I didn't find music for it until Monday morning, but I still consider it a success. This is ASTRO BURST, a basic vertical space shooter game.

Small weekend project. A very simple asteroid buster game. The main gameplay is almost finished. You can move around, shoot asteroids and power up. I have in mind a rogue-like aspect where you exchange your points for upgrades or to unlock said powerups. Will it be too ambitious? #gamedev #indiedev

I think my brain has finally clicked and I've begun to understand how to use Lua and love2d. Tables and metatables suddenly make sense.

How to make indie dev friends? I feel I'm always out of the loop

First person turn-based battle system slowly but surely getting together. #godot #gamedev #indiedev #solodev #pixelart #retro #rpg

Early prototype/mockup of my new project. A sort of first person dungeon crawler where you go through rooms until you find the deepest end of the dungeon. The plan is to have very simple turn-based combat, looting and npc's spewing obscure lore. #gamedev #indiedev #godot #pixelart #rpg #retro

After an involuntary break (previous computer died), I'm back on the beginner indie-dev train. With a Flappy Bird clone, of course. It's not the prettiest, but it works and, more importantly, it's finished. Done in Godot this time. I like Godot, usually. #gamedev #indiedev #godot #pixelart

Still here. Currently trying to figure out an inventory system

Slowly, things are starting to look like something.

I think I'm finally happy with how collisions work. I spent too much time reinventing the wheel, but I learned a lot in the process

Unfortunately, the holidays are over and progress will slow down again

Early stages of level navigation. It was difficult to fit everything in less than 60 secs, so it might be a bit chaotic.

Possibly one of the most frustrating programming moments. Get something working somewhere, but for some reason the same thing doesn't work somewhere else. WHY do you work there but not here?!

Finally some time off. Aching to sit down and continue working on my game

A very first level prototype draft thing. Mainly just to see how things look. Everything is a WIP.

It was long, long overdue, but I've finally been a little good programmer and set up Git.

I think I've been watching far too many videos about C64's. They're just so cool! I can't say I'm nostalgic for them because I've never even seen one, but I do wish I had had the opportunity to use one.

It's still a little glitchy, but it's starting to look and feel like something.

It turns out collisions are a massive problem, but after devoting it way too much time, I think I'm *starting* to get my head around them.

Hi, I'm looking to follow more LÖVE users and developers. Whether experienced or beginners. I want to see what you're working on and possibly learn from each other! If you use LÖVE, please say hello!

More cellular automata fun in LÖVE.
Do I actually understand how this works? lolno.
But look! Pretty Zelda triangles!

This counts as gamedev, right? It's got 'game' in the name, after all.
