Because liberals view police abuse as aberrant behavior as opposed to a systemic problem, their approaches to combatting it involve saddling departments with procedural hurdles as opposed to outright just limiting their power.

Looking back, I actually think this essay kind of sucks and is like 70% wrong. It was stuck in draft hell for so long that I let myself fall into the Substack-slop trap.
I'm by no means a nationalist. But when I see the kinds of people who are now claiming to represent America, it makes me start to ask some questions.
