From the MN Society for Professional Journalists: St. Paul police shot three photojournalists (MPR, Reuters, Sahan Journal) with "less lethal" munitions during an ICE operation yesterday. One had to go to the hospital. They say they were specifically targeted by St. Paul police.

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

This is nuts!

Why is WAPO writing up anyone’s speculation about who the suspect might be?

I get that Laura’s statements and actions are at times newsworthy given her influence on Trump, but no one’s speculation — outside of a government official’s — should be written up this way.

very odd that the Post would write up someone’s speciation as if it’s news. What are we doing here

This incredibly irresponsible alcoholic idiot is calling for 500 additional troops in Washington. Because that won't incite more violence.

Everything about this silly "Secretary of War" is about saber rattling and pretending he is so strong. He really must have been picked on in school.

In 2022, Donald Trump sued me and others associated with the Clinton campaign for RICO. We did not cave. We fought. First, we won in a Florida trial court. Today, we won in the 11th Circuit.

To the law firms, media corps and billionaires who bow down: Learn a lesson. Have some dignity and fight.

If anyone has any doubt that Trump is a Russian agent & accomplice, all those doubts should be erased by the way he is siding with Russia & against Ukraine. The same applies to the GOP, they have been pro-authoritarian and pro-Russia for a long time. Don’t just defeat the GOP, Fucking Destroy It!

Trump has wanted to go ever-bigger with his planned White House ballroom.

One person who disagrees: Trump’s handpicked architect

James McCrery is worried about the size of Trump’s addition overshadowing the main White House mansion, per people we’ve spoken to.

Trump wants a bigger White House ballroom. His architect disagrees.
The president and James McCrery had argued in recent weeks over the project’s size, with Trump pushing him to expand the ballroom.

Such classic gaslighting it's an instructive moment. The question is not whether generic is better or worse, it's that a list with more expensive brand names is not the same as a list with cheaper generics. Perverting that truth into an attack on those calling it out is Manipulation 101.
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

The guy's a cretin. It was a comparison from past years, except the generics were substituted for name brands. Nothing wrong with generics, typically, but if you're comparing apples and oranges, there's going to be a major flaw in the comparison. He knows that. He's being deceptive, like all MAGA.
This is amazing.

As if "trading down" isn't an economic decision.

Refusing to report the public actions of a public figure, because you're afraid of being sued. In another country. For shame.
Note that the BBC openly admits in an email to me that the removal of this claim about Trump's world-historical corruption was done "on legal advice."

Translation: Trump's threat of a lawsuit, no matter how bogus, has now been rewarded.

How much more evidence do you need that republicans do not care if you live or die? Polluting the air & water; destroying health care; advocating against vaccines, gutting food safety inspections…
Now add this to the list:
Exclusive: Republicans plan to challenge vehicle-safety mandates, such as automatic emergency braking and alarms that remind drivers a child is in the back seat.
