Does anyone have the skinny about Adafruit and Sparkfun? They’ve set up a situation where I can’t really do business with both, and I want to know if Adafruit’s assertion regarding an abusive tone from Sparkfun is accurate. If everybody sucks, I’ll just do business with neither.

Remember that spreadsheet I posted that let you know which apps may have shared your mobile identifier and location data to ICE?

Google decided that it violated their "phishing policy". 🙄

I think the best thing for the Democrats to do, if we ever have another election, would be to funnel massive sums of money to any startup that can dethrone Meta, OpenAI, X, Google, or any big business that’s funding Trump. I detest capital, but we need to disincentivize alignment with fascism.

Discussing guilloché in luxury watches and haute horlogerie sounds exactly like the Dan Flashes sketch from I Think You Should Leave. "Cause the pattern's so complicated you idiot!"

In 2025 I finally got all the equipment I needed to properly digitize my childhood VHS collection. I found a home video of me at about age 10 singing, and processed it into the ambient basis of a song that came out today on my friend's IDM label!

TDoR is a hard time. It’s tough seeing the faces of so many we’ve lost. For those who left, I’ll work to stay here and make it easier for others to do the same. For everyone, but especially trans people today, the world is better with you in it. I’m glad you’re here.

“After an unprecedented run of keeping the lion in the cage, we’ve decided to let the lion out of the cage. Strategically, we have to do this so people remember how terrible it is to have your head chewed on by a lion. We have the lion’s promise that it will discuss not chewing on heads in a month.”

White supremacist language and implication is in the water like microplastics, and is the background radiation to such an extent that pointing it out makes people sputter in shock. People clutch pearls over pointing out the fruiting bodies of it because they don’t see the mold it grows from.

Fun fact: you can pretty reliably glitch out ChatGPT by feeding it the first three lyrics to the theme song to Serial Experiments Lain and telling it it’s wrong when it misattributes them. It feels meta.

There’s just not a lot in this world weirder than being headhunted by an AI startup with the same name as your beloved cat who recently died who was named after a side character from Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law.

New Orleans floods out and everybody holds hands and prays on TV because they know rich people can come in and buy the property out from under the impoverished and displaced residents. Kwig is washed out to sea and nobody cares because no bourgeoisie want to move in behind those indigenous people.

If there was an American political party that prioritized empiricism and pledged to change any position contradicted by empirical fact, I’d vote for them in a heartbeat. Both parties have their soaring narratives but they both fuck trans people because neither acknowledges medical science.
