1/6th of Americans rely on SNAP.

Yet we have the largest number of billionaires in the world.🫤

We can’t avoid the recognition that one of the major reasons we are where we are in the US is that those who should’ve stepped back looong ago are still trying to appear relevant.

Peace!

One vaccine in particular I have great respect for: my dad contracted polio as a child (late 1930s), I never did.

Another “bold” statement by yet another poser. Recall also that this is Duffy’s second full-time job.

NASA’s efforts on safety likely to remain paramount. The professionals still at NASA know too well what can happen.

Also, pretty slick this charter used a pseudo Catholic school name to try to eke out some cred.😂

Checked equipment for tomorrows kinematics lab #1, and unboxed a couple new buggy carts.

Nicely done Arbor Scientific. Nicely done.😎

Well, this teacher does not.😊

Just last week attended a conference session where the general consensus was that even after just two years experience with LLM AI students’ reasoning and conceptual development was disrupted.

Many of us have read Anne Frank in high school.

Every nation has a right to control its borders, but hard to miss that cruelty seems to be the point here, too.🫤

We’re going to fight the good fight, Sir.🫡

To me, the LLM AI hype is a lot like ppl trying to sell you a timeshare condo. (You’ll love it! It will be great! You’re going to miss out!)

(I screenshot this a year ago; don’t recall where)

And yet he mentions nothing about what Memorial Day recognizes.🫤

Maybe if he can take a moment from golfing, visit with the heroes in Section 60 at Arlington National Cemetary.

They’ll be there. They always are.

@science.org: REALLY liking the new format.😎

Fellow science Ts: I’ve been an AAAS member for about 10 years, and have found Science to be a great tool to get at my scientific literacy skills (I also feel the first time my students read an actual scientific article shouldn’t be in college).

Peace!

Call me an unbeliever, but I have one word in reply to the current AI hype: MOOCS.

That said, I do appreciate the impact of AI on Chegg (the universal cheating factory). Nice going, AI. 😉

I know there may come a time when I am no longer able to do these kinds of things, but that time has not yet arrived.😉

(from this year’s yearbook - I’m about to have a medicine ball thrown at me)

Just finished reading John Green’s “Everything is Tuberculosis.”

Outstanding.👍👍👍

Too late to get it on my school’s summer reading list (our library already has it - science, science history, and social justice, good stuff!) but next year for sure.

Peace!

Kindly do not ask me to help train Skynet.

I’m my own John Connor, and I know where this goes.

Really not trying to cause any problems, but how can there even be “hundreds of books” about putting?

You hit a little ball into a cup with a stick on level ground covered with well-maintained grass. Aren’t you overthinking it?🤔

I mean throw in some windmills or Godzilla, and I get it.
