My Cascades train tonight waited at the Portland station for like 90 minutes for a car (automobile) to be removed from the tracks. Do any transit folks have some policy thing about how this sort of thing could be avoided or made faster?

Yeah Zohran, I'd say I'm hard at work on the transition too.
We're going to build a city that everyone can afford — and with about 40 days until I become the next mayor of the city, we're hard at work on the transition. (And if that's something you want to be a part of, visit our website!)

Yeah Mitch literally eats hot dogs up there. Where's his harassment video. Give him the Lenin outfit in it too yk.
I eat up there all of the time because that’s when we get to eat. Where’s my harassment video? It’s not leftist praxis to single out and harass women of color for eating, or for trying to use what levers of power we have to throw sand in the gears of fascism.

In case you're not on the mailing list, NSLU is doing a Thanksgiving shift meal for workers this Wednesday - something New Seasons used to do but has now taken away. You can help serve at your nearest location.

Another victory for the arcane maneuver of giving money to people that need it
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Baristas are locking arms in front of lines of trucks.

This distribution center is Starbucks’ largest on the East Coast, which is why we’re showing up to send a message. We're ready to continue escalating our ULP strike until Starbucks does the right thing.

Out here in York, PA where @sbworkersunited.org strikers are BLOCKADING the largest Starbucks distribution center in the country to demand a fair contract!!

This is amazing!! Taking the strike to the logistics hubs is key, as SBWU has a small overall presence but there's only a handful of distribution centers, making them good targets. This was suggested by Benjamin Fong in one of his articles.
BREAKING:

Union baristas and their allies are descending on York, Pennsylvania, to protest at Starbucks’ largest Regional Distribution Center.

Baristas and their allies are protesting Starbucks’ serious and unresolved unfair labor practices.

Insane
Disagreement on policy is welcome and reasonable, but calling me a Nazi for cosponsoring an ordinance to ban price-fixing is completely unacceptable. Councilor Ryan edited his post, but did not disclose the edit and explain the nature of the substantive change, so it’s here for posterity.

Mayors, presidents, and governors must be abolished.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Can all the Portland business folks just send a single lobbyist next time or something. They all have the exact same thing to say anyway.

Being of the generation where homeownership in Portland has never been a real possibility, these duplexes and townhomes that are like $100k-200k cheaper than s-f houses have been hugely encouraging. I'm not even a fan of homeownership but it's way more appealing when it's not impossible!!!
