One of the mounts in the Guilded Caravan set is this beautifully-outfitted camel.

Don't hear me wrong, but #LOTRO have done an awesome job of showing how uncomfortable riding camels are. Glinmaethor would be happy with a plain camel but bright colours are good too.

Riding a camel which has bright blue fabric over its head and pack, there is a gold-colours "stick" to hold onto to steady yourself while riding, various pouches for "stuff" and a LOT of tassels. It's a local style thging. So's the camel. Which does beg the question of which ship she takes home as a camel takes up quite a lot of space...

Shâba and Rûnax apparently didn't want to stay and be pit fighters. They somehow ported to Rohan with her.

In this #LOTRO quest, you have to subdue two huge goats so the locals can make them entertainment in pit-like battles.

This is one of those "you're in a foreign country, and this is okay for them, so don't impose your morals on them" moments. You're the visitor.

Just taking a wee look at the new "Caravan" pack in #LOTRO. For the adventurer's point of view, I'm loving the 1H axe design (compatible with 1H swords & clubs I think), and the backpack.

Sometimes having a visual of your "bags" can be immersive.

The Ceremonial "Gilded Caravan" axe has a sturdy shaft and an elegant, yet deadly half-moon blade. The accompanying weapon effect is a bit like orange fireflies or flicking embers from a fire. The Gilded Caravan Pack is a region-themed backpack featuring: A couple of rollmats, water bottle, pouches for other liquids of choice and beautiful flowery sack which is buckled to a leather "lid".

We're not a marginalised group like women, queer people, or people of colour. The media is already full of stories about men. Big buff shirtless dude at keyboard: I'm glad you asked, champ. Whatever your view on men's place in society, it's still true that we face a lot of issues - like social isolation, risk of suicide, health problems, and attitudes towards sex and child rearing. Having a day to talk about those doesn't take away from anyone else's problems. In fact, having a day to talk about them helps us be more mindful, and listen better at other times. Second shirtless buff dude on a couch at his laptop: The chief here is really on to something. I want to echo what he said, and also point out that the idea we should remain silent about our problems actually contributes to a lot of our issues. We are human beings, with human needs. Seeking mutual support and understanding isn't the same thing as placing a burden on others. Especially if we're providing it for each other. Third buff dude at his laptop: Right on, my fellow kings. We've inherited a social legacy of competition and division, and a lot of what makes a man in our era is under question. IMD is a chance for us to examine and rethink what we are together, and build the bonds of solidarity and support that will make a better way possible - like in this meme. Because in our hearts, we're all curious kids and buff guys on keyboards.

Health Update: I'm still ill, and it's freaking annoying now.

Different days have different effects. Yesterday, I felt nauseous, today it's headache and awful #fibro pain in my shoulders and neck.

I don't know what's going on, other than "normal pain levels" feels a pipe dream right now. 🙄

Then got "Celebrate Spring" notifications.

Hi all,

I've had something of a win tonight: about 4 hrs at my PC doing #writing in #Obsidian. It's all dark mode, so a slow reintroduction of screens.

But I've been able to collate story-specific info so I can properly plan and write it.

Very tired with the bug still, though.
Just a small screenshot from the free application Obsidian, which I'm using to organise my story writing into one place.

Hi Bluesky-ers, especially #LOTRO players.

The main reason I've been so quiet recently on social media is an ongoing big that is giving me bad headaches. Some days aren't bad, but most mean I've barely gamed or been on my PC at all.

I'm doing crafts and a couple of mobile games, but I'm not well.

I'm not a "public complainer" by nature, but as I've been with #O2 since forever, their recent price rise is really inconsiderate. Even the Watchdog is 🤨.

Unfortunately, I have too high an amount on my device plan that I cannot pay off in 30 days. So I have to lump it.

Case in point...I had to re-read this quest objective, because I was convinced I had to steal banana's from goblins as punishment for stealing the locals' sheep.
