It's no surprise that he's ready to hand over Meta's ad tech to help identify, locate, and disappear users who match certain profiles.

Butter app still charging existing users 30 days before it goes away forever AND accepting new customers on their website is not how I expected them to behave.

No message about how it's sunsetting, nothing to stop someone from signing up and paying for their first (and last) month.

Do better.

Most of all, be conscious of this tightrope path that all small business owners are walking right now.

If you see a small business launching, selling, promoting, don't assume they're insensitive. There might be more to the story.

As always, take care of your mental, emotional, and physical health!

Some tips:

If you can't afford to strike, close for the day, silence your marketing for a week ~ that doesn't make you evil!

Read the room and balance your pitches with empathy & ethics.

If you can safely speak out, choose sides, and share your values, please do!

If you can't, you can't.

She also made an important point about (paraphrasing) when Target gets it wrong, people get mad at Target. When we get it wrong, people get mad at the individual behind the brand.

It can feel impossible to navigate safely.

So don't be hard on yourself if you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, etc.

Natalia Sanyal said something in this week's newsletter that really stuck with me:

"Although that problem is obviously a privilege to have relative to those directly impacted by the crisis, it can be a lot for one person. Large corporations have leadership teams that can share the burden."

The shelter where we adopted our kitty made it very clear that we could return her any time if the relationship didn't work out.

Because it's so much better to take the animal back and find the right home than to make it suffer.

Like dating, you can't know if it will be forever on the first day.

Dogs and children should never be forced to stay with a family that doesn't adore them and have the capacity to care for them.

I'm sure it was super difficult to make that decision to give it back but they absolutely did the right thing!

It doesn't impact our clients, thankfully. But I'm genuinely excited about the projects I'm working on right now and I can't wait to work on them again!

So it's painful to have to keep stopping and dealing with the offline drama instead.

I'm also thankful to be successful enough to do both. 🙏

Ooooh, that's fantastic Yuval!!! I'm THRILLED for you! 🥳🎊

I've been feeling like some huge obstacle rolled out of the way as 2026 started. I hope this is a sign of an absolutely incredible year for your business!

TRUTH!!

All forms of spam and cold DMs are evil, they create pollution, and waste everyone's time. Receiving it is the #1 thing I hate about being a biz owner.

This is GORGEOUS! Congrats Sara!! 🥳🎊🥂

What an absolutely glowing review, especially for how it gets specific with things that will make others run to read it. I'm SO happy for you!! 💖

I've tried cloth curtains before but they always billowed in and stuck to me while showering. This one doesn't.

And it looks so elegant!

I bought 2 so I can rotate them.

Each week, I just pop the current one in the laundry (like towels, sheets, etc.) and hang the fresh one.

Easy! #PlasticFree

No more wrestling with trying to scrub something that isn't solid.

No more spraying it down regularly to prevent mildew.

(And no, shower doors weren't an option before.)

And NO PLASTIC! I'm so happy 🥳

I can't believe it took me this long to make the switch. 🤦‍♀️
