I wrote a little something about why you can't use US-based AI for writing the gender analysis for Horizon Europe proposals, and why it might cost you the grant.

Diversity Is Not a Prompt: Why You Shouldn’t Use AI for the Gender Analysis in Your Horizon Europe Proposal

This just makes me so happy.
Absolutely incredible turnout for Budapest Pride! So proud of all the organizers, including some old friends, who estimate hundreds of thousands— major embarrassment to Orban

Had fun presenting at the @icwsm.bsky.social conference in Copenhagen today. Cramming 15 hours of training into a 15 minutes presentation was a challenge, but a good one. Thanks to all who spent their lunch break listening to me. 🙂
EDI Special Session: @robysinatra.bsky.social on quantifying bias and inequalities in science and @feldtfos.bsky.social on making equity, diversity and inclusion work in research projects.

Big thanks to the EDI co-chairs @alessianetwork.bsky.social and @elisalvai.bsky.social for organizing!

Today, after 15 years of supporting researchers with their research proposals, I have submitted a proposal to a research funder with me as the PI for the first time.
Keep your fingers crossed - and I'll tell you more about the project once we get funding for it.

January isn’t even over yet, and Trump had taken over and my aunt and a good friend have both been diagnosed with terminal cancer. 2025 is off to a brutal start.

What are the mediocrities going to do when they find out that “DEI” isn’t their problem? I’m curious.

Several politicians hyperventilate that letting trans women use public bathrooms is the greatest threat to cis women’s safety. But the most dangerous place for women is their home, where they are killed by male partners or relatives.

Femicide is systemic and we must do more to collectively end it.
