Discussion topics ranged from HAF provision in rural communities to effective means of providing wraparound support in Affordable Food Clubs in addition to the policy work that needs to take place to ensure long-term outcomes.

When the project began, teachers recorded students’ focus and attention levels. A year later, they noticed a clear, positive uptick in both, after funded meals were introduced.
It’s a simple but powerful finding: when children aren’t hungry, they can concentrate better on learning.

They usually distribute around 150 packets each month and are completely reliant on donations.
