Recognising the incredible diversity of their community, Sufra offers ingredients and meals that honour different cultures and dietary traditions which ensures that support never comes at the expense of cultural connection.

In Brent, Sufra NW London is creating a community hub where everyone can access food that reflects their culture.

Feeding Britain recently joined forces with Community Shop, Family Action, The Message Trust, The Bread and Butter Thing, UK Harvest and Your Local Pantry, to carry out a cross-sectional survey into the impact of food clubs across the UK.

Affordable Food Clubs thrive as places of connection and community. By removing stigma, creating safe spaces, and offering support beyond simply food, Affordable Food Clubs are able to help tackle some of the drivers of poverty and help members move away from dependency on emergency food aid.

Massive congratulations to volunteer Anna McLaughlin who is a finalist for the Make a Difference Volunteer Award 2025.

In Glasgow, Threehills Community Supermarket and Café is creating a space where everyone can access good food with dignity and choice.
This flagship project, developed by @goodfoodscotland, offers affordable groceries alongside a warm, welcoming café and vital support services.

Earlier this week, the latest affordable food club in the Feeding Britain network was officially launched by Si King!

St Chad’s Market, in Bensham, is providing local people with affordable food in a welcoming setting, as part of a comprehensive year-round offer of support.

Earlier today, Feeding Britain were excited to attend the Norfolk Community Foundation’s event where they presented their new Nourishing Norfolk network evaluation findings, based on independent research conducted by @uniofeastanglia.bsky.social

As the Summer Holidays draw to a close, we want to recognise the huge impact of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

HAF is far more than childcare. It supports children, parents, and communities by providing safe, supportive spaces during the holidays and even more:

1/4 Seven years ago, the Department for Education announced the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, following the School Holidays (Meals and Activities) Bill drafted by Feeding Britain’s parliamentary supporters and presented by our founding Chair, the late Frank Field.
