Females may be just as likely to be autistic as males but boys are up to four times more likely to be diagnosed in childhood, according to a large-scale study.

I lost count of how many autism studies put in a 'token girl' amongst a big cohort of boys, & declared the results to be meaningful for all autistic people. Not a consideration of that problem in their Limitations section, most of the time, signed off by reviewers and editors.
