Bikeshare systems that block tourists is a bigger problem than just Barcelona. I’ve encountered this is Madrid and Zurich as well.

Bikeshare Shouldn’t Kick Tourists to the Curb
Barcelona’s bikeshare program excludes non-Spanish visitors. Other cities charge tourists much higher fees to rent two-wheelers. Which policy makes more sense?

Bikeshare systems that block tourists is a bigger problem than just Barcelona. I’ve encountered this is Madrid and Zurich as well.

- Bike helmet laws decreasing life expectancy by effecting hardly anyone cycles and making bikeshare impossible

Someone put *a lot* of effort into unified multilingual wayfinding across BRT, LRT, MRT and even commuter rail in the Jakarta region – and it turned out really good!
That being said, it's still borderline impossible for the average tourist to use transit here given how inconvenient fare payment is
