Just finished M.A. Carrick's The Liar's Knot after devouring The Mask of Mirrors. Took notes on the first, didn't for the second, but will write up some lingering thoughts for both books before I delve into the third book Labyrinth's Heart. Then, it's A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher.

As a DM and therapy group practitioner, yeah. This one checks out. The rule of thumb I've learned is: Shoot for 8 members, plan for 6, expect 4, then maybe have 3 solid members by the last four sessions.

Just finished The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick and I'm disappointed that I don't wear surcoats (or kirtles) nearly enough in my day-to-day. They seem like they would be comfy yet elegant. Anyone handy with a sewing machine want to teach me a few pointers?

Agreed. It's easy to shoulder all of the burdens of the world in American society, what with all the focus on self-reliance as a virtue and ideal; BUT we don't have to because we have each other. Rest when you need to rest.

How to apply Radical Acceptance during these highly stressful times: Step 1 - Be ANGRY. Step 2 - Don't fight your anger. It's working as it should. Step 3 - Redirect your anger to doing the right thing that others won't or can't do. Optional Step 4: Cuss every step of the way, then have a lie down.
