it hurts emotionally knowing that the vast majority of money i receive is mutual aid instead of appreciation for the work i am capable of doing.

intellectually though i know that probably at least half of my followers are deleted palestinian accounts (because bluesky is racist) and the stupid protocol here has no way to remove deleted accounts from follower counts.

it barely even gets shares. i know comparisons are the enemy of joy or whatever but the emotional part of my brain doesn't understand why crafters with way less followers get way more shares.
