The Pelicans could still fight for a play-in spot.
My rationale:
Pels are only 3.5 games out of 10 and don't have their pick next year.

Here is another issue for Portland: their halfcourt defense.
When they allow opposing teams to get set in their halfcourt offense, the Blazers bleed points. Not enough data for specific 5 man lineups, but I would bet the rotations that give up more points in the halfcourt are the small ball lineups
