fwiw, I definitely didn’t understand you to be arguing for theocracy. I‘m just a bit (a lot concerned) about reactionaries dominating the field of natural-law arguments in an avowedly christian context and using left appeals to NL argument to legitimate themselves.

I think that in the United States in the current year, the political economy of avowedly Christian natural law argumentation is just too skewed in a bad direction to make this anything but a last resort
