completely fascinating interview about what sounds like a great book
A masterful investigation of blotter art weaves together tales of DEA agents, underground outlaw artists, and Grateful Dead shows. Author Erik Davis discusses 'Blotter' which examines how a simple delivery method evolved into a democratic art form that continues to elude mainstream recognition.

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.

I call on the Australian government to #RaiseTheRate of all support payments to a living wage.
This would be the single most effective way to lift the productivity, quality of life, and well-being of the whole country.

I’ve not heard anyone talk about ‘stiles’ since I was at school…

there was one at the far deep corner of our playground that allowed a shortcut home after school for some, and an illicit trip to the shops at lunchtime for others…ooo naughty!
I am often asked “What, if push came to shove, is your favourite stile you have climbed over on a walk in the countryside?” and it’s always an easy question to answer, since there can only ever be one winner.

Epstein was obviously the story of the day but it’s wild that we got confirmation the CIA was engaged in biological warfare in Afghanistan for at least a decade
Inside the CIA’s secret mission to sabotage Afghanistan’s opium
In a decade-long operation, the CIA modified poppy seeds and dropped them by the billions from aircraft over Afghanistan in an attempt to weaken the potency of the country’s opium crop.
