#filmsky tried to watch Fantastic Four: First Steps. gave up at 40 minutes.

protip from an old fan: the core of the Galactus story is Alicia Masters' encounter w/the Surfer. that his heart is changed by this (non super) sensitive disabled artist is what gives that moment it's dramatic weight.

assume your audience's eyes work.
jump scares don't need to be punctuated w/loud noise.

#filmsky watched WEAPONS: fresh, jarring social commentary disguised as #horror about an ongoing cultural wound that we're compelled (as if by magic) not to discuss. such a obvious metaphor it wouldn't surprise me if it went right over the heads of a lot of people who saw it. highly recommended.
