I have been to hundreds of shows in the blessed, privileged blur that is the last 30 years. There are no bands I have seen more frequently than the Dears or the mighty DANKO Jones—two of Canada’s finest musical forces.

Got her in 2017–my midlife crisis was cheaper than a motorcycle, I guess. (Love turtles but feel weird about pet breeders and such—rehoming a rescue was my loophole!)

It’s a 3/4-filled 85-gallon curved aquarium w/giant $$$ canister filter meant for 250-gal tanks. (Turtles are messy.) Small wave generator running during the day, a platform, heater & hiding rock, but otherwise bare: not aesthetic, but apparently it’s better for turtles. And then heat and UV lamps.

This is Fifi, a Ouachita map turtle adopted from a local reptile-rehoming group, Little RESQ. She’s great (just a lousy roommate to anything else).

Just sharing that I love all the shrimp/snail aquaria pics very much but haven’t hearted them all lest you think I am too emotionally invested in this new adventure (which I am). I tried to keep Mystery Snails myself, but someone (pictured) kept eating them.
