they simply don't know about Idaho
November 25, 2025 at 8:05 PM
because uh. it's crazy out there. like not in the normal ways
November 25, 2025 at 8:03 PM
yeah but anyone who watched Shannon Sharpe and Jason Witten knows which of those players is better than the other. and I know you know which of those players was better than the other, by quite a lot
November 25, 2025 at 7:46 PM
yeah I shouldn't have to. But I shouldn't have to do a lot of things

Jason Witten was a very good football player. Good blocker, good hands. But I think that the Hall of Fame should be reserved for players who offered more than just consistency and longevity. You should have to be more than "pretty good"

I'm not dismissing stats, I'm dismissing the idea that large cumulative totals directly mean he was some sort of game-breaking player, which he wasn't. Tony Gonzalez is in because he very plainly was one of the most dangerous weapons in football for his whole prime. Would you say about about Witten
November 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM
oh wow
November 25, 2025 at 3:07 PM
what's good about him? solid blocker, fine reliable receiver. what about him was truly exceptional at any point in his career? I don't like longevity being the main criteria for entry. all his stuff is just accrued counting stats

Eli is whatever, I know I'm swimming upstream there and people only remember two super bowl runs and not how he actually played every other game (shittily). Witten is the one that we should be throwing ourselves on the tracks in front of

because good lord
November 25, 2025 at 2:06 AM
well. no arguing with that I guess!

Max Brosmer will take first-team reps at quarterback for the #Vikings with J.J. McCarthy in the concussion protocol, Kevin O’Connell said. They’ll make a decision on the starting quarterback for Seattle once they see how McCarthy comes through the protocol.
