Earlier the government argued the 10 days of missing footage had been "irretrievably destroyed," then it argued it was lost in a "system crash." Now it says that the footage never existed at all and is therefore not "missing" and they cannot be held liable

I've been following this saga for a few months. The latest court filings are completely insane. DHS is now arguing that the footage, even if it existed, would not be relevant because conditions at Broadview aren't bad anymore (their argument). Asks court to "rein in" plaintiffs request for info

During weekly visits to Broadview, plaintiffs’ counsel must have observed current conditions of confinement at the facility and interviewed individuals who were there to be processed.
