No industry is perfect. But the imbalance is hard to miss. One sector must prove its products are safe & effective. The other profits by avoiding that responsibility. If we care about transparency and accountability, scrutiny shouldn’t be one-sided. (Source: For The Greater Glory of Science) #EpiSky

The Strange and Totally Real Plan to Blot Out the Sun and Reverse Global Warming
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat. The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

Well, this is chilling AF.

The Department of Education is suing Penn (in their quest for "combat antisemitism") requesting detailed information about Jewish faculty and staff.

5 years from now there will be a string of stories in the mainstream media trying to understand why the US nursing shortage has continued to worsen.
If they are now saying these degrees are worthless, then the student loans shouldn't have to repaid.
I’m a Black higher ed lawyer, formerly in-house counsel at Harvard and top expert on Project 2025.

This is Project 2025 in action, dismantling the Department of Education; no Congressional approval, no public comment periods, nothing.

No coming back from this, folks. It didn’t have to be this way.

I just came across this absurd passage in Casey Means’ “Good Energy”. It’s ironic that earlier in the book she laments we taught her nothing about inflammation during her time at Stanford.

(The cause of lower avg body temp is believed to be better general health & less chronic inflammation today.)

RFK Jr had committed to Bill Cassidy, as a condition to win his vote, that he would keep website language.

Cassidy in February: “If confirmed… CDC will not remove statements on their website pointing out that vaccines do not cause autism.”

Note the language in second photo.

How awful. This is outright health disinformation, lying to the American people. Not only is there massive evidence showing no link between vaccines & autism, there’s not even a plausible mechanism based on what we’ve learned about the genetics of autism, some environmental exposures in pregnancy
HEADS UP: CDC website now officially asserts that vaccines may cause autism.“Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.” Also says the “vaccines do not cause autism” header remains b/c of an agreement with Cassidy.

I’m still thinking about “quiet, piggy.” No president should be able to speak to a member of the press that way and remain president. That moment encapsulates how vile, misogynistic, and horrible that man is.

If we don’t allow people the opportunity for redemption, there is less motivation for them to change.

But their desire to change must be sincere, and the redemption earned.

Yes, the President of the United States is a child rapist.

We can't expect to deal with it until we can say it plainly and aloud.

Fetterman had a “v fib flare up”?!?

I think what they meant was he had a cardiac arrest & his ICD successfully shocked him.

Ironically, a single ICD shock actually isn’t necessarily a huge deal that needs to be downplayed by his team - if that’s what happened.

As part of our country’s post MAGA reconciliation, I’d love to see a federal holiday honoring immigrants.

(Yes, there is currently a National Immigrants Day on Oct 28, but it gets virtually no recognition, and if the date was kept for a federal holiday it would prob be used for Halloween prep.)

Plenty of people are dunking on Trump for his claim that "No one knows what magnets are."

Yes, it's very concerning he isn't aware that people can know things that he doesn't.

But I'm even more concerned about how utterly incoherent he has become.
