CM Vetaw just called me to try to defend herself. She apparently still does not think it is her role to denounce ICE and demand they leave Minneapolis. She also cast some concerning (& thus far from my experience, baseless) suspicions about our neighborhood rapid response network.

As always, there are ways to participate for those who are not planning to attend in person. For questions or details, reach out to your local DFL unit by January 31 — we’ve been working hard to equip them.

Firsthand account of the abduction from North Minneapolis a week ago that I and a huge group of neighbors observed.
Inside the detention center, Gibson said officers put him in a bare, metal holding cell about the size of a small conference room with around 40 other detainees. Their legs were shackled. Gibson said one person in the cell appeared to have scabies.

Thanks to everybody who’s reached out about the urgent need for an eviction moratorium so that those who can’t work during the federal occupation aren’t at risk of losing their homes. I agree with you completely, and we’ll be introducing a resolution this week calling on the governor to act.

Title: Calling on Governor Walz to pass an eviction moratorium through Executive Order to support Saint Paul in keeping families in their homes, and further protect them from ICE.

This is shockingly out of touch, please donate your money to the communities that are being attacked by masked federal agents.

Also, in-person precinct caucuses are a terrible idea, there are immigrant families who haven’t left their houses in weeks.
So friends, I launched a campaign to raise money for the Democratic Party of Minnesota (@dfl.org) to help them combat ICE's lawless assault. MN Dem Party Chair Richard Carlbom joined me for the kickoff. Learn more, donate, and let's rally for the courageous people of Minnesota, together! 👇

Because the media does not know how to frame what is happening, they keep referring to regular Minnesotans as protesters. But there is very explicit training that so many people done to learn how to be a constitutional observer. People are bearing witness to kidnappings, with phones and whistles.
by @democraticwins.bsky.social CNN just aired a devastating compilation of all the times ICE brutally attacked Americans. Remember, Donald Trump sponsored this. This is done at his command.

Glad to see this reporting and good to see the spineless cowards have the light on them. All these companies that used to strut around with civic pride can eat shit
For decades, executives at big companies in Minnesota have been part of the state’s civic backbone — serving on nonprofit boards, weighing in on workforce issues, joining task forces focused on solving major social issues. Which is why the quiet right now is so striking.
