My mother was the same🤔 Whenever we went hiking, we always packed extra in case of bad weather or other situations, which meant carrying much heavier loads while I watched other hikers with light backpacks 🙃

I guess I am more careful when I fish 🤔

I rarely slip while fishing. Somebody told me that I should walk with a fly rod in my hand, so that I wouldn’t slip 🤔

This creek freezes for a few weeks total during the winter. So compared to your river, I think I have more access to fish during the winter. But I also like walking around the creek even in an icy weather 😊
