The GOP passed a budget that will eviscerate health care in rural areas. They delayed much of the impact for after the midterms, hoping the public will think any discussion of the impending collapse is hyperbolic.

Local reporters have a chance to do service journalism that'll make a splash too.

Dr. Carla Hayden has served as Librarian of Congress with honor and distinction, bringing our prized institution to new heights.

Trump’s outrageous, politically-motivated move to fire her is despicable. The Library of Congress belongs to the American people — NOT to Trump.

I was going to get the train today. But I am increasingly concerned at the deficit I’m running with Great Northern Rail. I buy a lot from them and they purchase nothing from me.
Tempted to apply a 20% tariff. Sure my tickets will cost 20% more but it might mean I buy fewer and reduce the deficit.

Yesterday was a whirlwind, leaving me without a moment to plan out March.

This morning, I'm taking a breather with a rose mocha.

Last week I finished edits to the Friday Ponderings book. Yesterday I invited 3 Beta readers.

Please please
I need to square with you, nondisabled folks. I am seeing lots of posts about standing up to racism, homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny…and not a lot about keeping disabled people safe.

This isn’t new. Even in DEI spaces I have to constantly add “and ableism”. It’s not taken seriously.
