I am fairly sure @booker.senate.gov @kim.senate.gov will be no votes on DHS funding. But they need to go beyond that — if the Senate Dem leadership follows @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social’s example and does not whip no votes, it is a tacit endorsement of these murders, and they need to be replaced.

It took 8 poorly trained ICE agents to subdue and murder one guy while on the ground in Minneapolis today…..
So my question is “does the $40k reward get split 8 ways to all these cowards $5k each?
Or does the reward go to the coward who shot the victim 5 times?

With AI electricity demand growing and driving up prices this appears to be the government’s strategy, suppress home and business electrification in favor of server farms.
Quite unfortunate that federal policies & greedy corporations, some literal monopolies (utilities) & others effectively monopolies (Big Tech), have created an electric affordability crisis so salient that implementation of innovative state policies to address climate change have had to be delayed:
Healey administration pushes back clean heat standard to 2028 as affordability concerns mount
Oil, propane, and natural gas providers would need to gradually cut their emissions each year under the program and buy credits to offset their pollution, costs which in theory could be passed on to c...

NSF has just put out a call for 'concepts' on how to evolve weather forecasting & computing related parts of NCAR.

The word climate *does not appear* in this document, but it does ask for ideas on "Ownership of the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab building for private use"

Call for input by March 13....

NCAR is a unique & valuable asset - far more than a climate model, or observations, or technology, or training ground, or gathering space. It covers weather, space weather, data, climate, paleo-climate, and everything in-between. It's building is an icon, but it's iconic status goes far beyond that.

Another insane move from the Trump regime.

One of NCAR's contributions to climate science is the development of the Community Earth System Model (CESM), which is used by researchers worldwide. Here's a simulation of air-sea CO₂ fluxes from CESM.
