Ringing any government agencies: "Did you know you can do most things online? Why not go online? If you're calling for something you could do online, we will ask you to go online. Have you tried the online portal?" I NEED TO SPEAK TO A HUMAN!

Starting our first mock speaking exams today as we wanted to do them before our first predicted grades go in. In light of the new marking guidance, I'll know what it's like to be on The Chase. Tested my son last night and he got through 11 questions on the second attempt 😬#mflsky

Finished The Names by Florence Knapp in a single day on my holiday. Well worth the hype, even though was a little triggering #booksky

If you were 15 and had managed to spill coffee on a white, fairly expensive (never would have been recommended by your mum) hoodie, would you a) immediately tell your mum and see what she suggests or b) consult YouTube and apply a concoction of washing liquid, washing up liquid and bicarb?

It's my daughter's driving test today. The way I slept last night, you'd think it was mine!

Anyone also read The Grace Year by Kim Liggett? I'm about halfway through and thoroughly absorbed. It's like Lord of the Flies meets The Handmaid's Tale. #booksky

Started and quickly abandoned The Wedding People. Just couldn't get into it. Now started Havoc by Rebecca Wait, which seems more my kind of thing so far #booksky

Just finished these two. Excellent historical fiction. The first I listened to, narrated superbly by Emma D'Arcy, about a painter determined to seek justice when she experiences a traumatic event. The second, about a woman discovering the truth about her godmother's life and death.

This dystopian thriller is reminiscent of Never Let Me Go, but I enjoyed it more. Listened on Audible and the narration really built up the sense of utter dread. Thoroughly recommended #booksky

Wondering if I should take a bottle of wine to the owner of the cafe where my 15 year old son is doing work experience after he told me it has taught him to actually look around, notice what needs doing and then do it! Only what I've been saying for YEARS!

Finished this last night. Not sure how I feel about it #booksky

I'm starting doing revision quizzes for my Y10 form during registration. It would really help if people could send me one question with 4 possible answers and the correct one for: An Inspector Calls, Romeo and Juliet, Jekyll & Hyde, Maths and combined science. Please share for a wider audience.

Finally got to watch Reunion on iPlayer this week and I can't stop thinking about it. Such powerful performances and the first time I'd watched anything where BSL was front and centre. An amazing watch.

Just finished this novel telling the story of a woman forced to work in the Lebensborn programme during WW2. A very well-researched, compelling story #booksky
