This is so dangerous.
The president of the United States had his DOJ raid the Fulton County election office and seized ballots. This is clearly a dry run for 2026. Yet, this is treated by too many in legacy media as normal.

Trying out a garter ribbing pattern- and switched to solid color bigger yarn so I can see the texture better.

I want to learn/practice some increases and decreases. Any recommendation for a simple lace swatch I can try to learn those?

I did this seed stitch swatch, but you can’t really tell the texture very well because of the variegation?
And I think these needles are too big for this yarn. Yes?

Practicing some knitting. K2p2 ribbing.

My book has some kind of complicated cast on for this but I just cast on as normal and started in with k2p2 right away. Is there a problem with that?

Hey, garment-sewing folks:
Where are we ordering fabric online these days?

Joann was it for me for affordable fabrics locally. Seems the only fabric shops now focus on quilting.

So I’m at a loss…
Bonus points if they explain the weight/drape well. It’s so hard not in-person!

Hey #knitsky people - is the only way to make teeny tiny things in the round to use dpns? #knitting

I’m a beginner and have never used dpns but of course willing to learn.

Can someone explain to me how knitting with DPNs works please?

Also I’ve barely been on social media at all. Not just not on Bluesky.

What have y’all been up to?

Fill me in on your latest #crochet 🧶, (and #microcrochet), #hydroponics, #craftsky, #dopaminedecor, #decluttering, #protesting, etc please. And anything else / life stuff!

I miss y’all.

Trying to decide whether to declutter my hydroponics experiment.

It’s not dialed in, so just a lot of space and energy without much of any result yet - will take tweaking and work before success.

But like… if I do get it dialed in we can have a sustainable source of “free” fresh veg. Soo…

Decluttering my house some, tidying up, and taking my kids to extracurricular activities feels insane under this regime.

(Also protesting, doing community care / mutual aid of various sorts, etc.)

It’s really really weird feeling that “life goes on” & so many people around me don’t seem to know.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

The video game character my youngest is being for Halloween loves frogs, and in our concept sketch of the costume I had drawn a little frog crossbody bag.

The other day I was like idk if I’ll be able to make you the bag in time for Halloween and he was like so sad. 😭

“The USDA website …is in clear violation of the Hatch Act and is of course a lie. They receive feedback via email at [email protected].
Maybe look for other government sites with a partisan lie and let them know how you feel about it.”

The official USDA site is blaming trans people for SNAP benefits expiring.

@benniethompson.bsky.social thank you for sending your letter to the donors of the horrifying ballroom project. But what happens on November 7 if they do not provide answers? Can you sue? FOIA request?

Welp. Pride was canceled - it was going to be rain or shine (and rain was forecast) but I think adding some pretty good wind made them go “yeah, maybe not.”

I think there are plans to reschedule.

But for now I just have … all these things I’ve been making for my booth. Eek.

I mean, are yall seeing the vision? Why shouldn’t a wristlet strap (do yall have another name for these?) double as a charm bracelet?
October 8, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Today I’ve been focusing on making the charm accessories. The intention is that you’d pick a wristlet strap or a bookmark or other item, then pick a few charms to accessorize and personalize it.

Buttttt now the forecast is saying 90% chance of rain. So I’m not sure if I’m doing it 😭
