Carrot is an ANCIENT old man who my friend rescued. He was supposed to be a hospice to death case, but he's been thriving.

Still a stinky old man. Any suggestions or tips/tricks for bathing an elderly cat?

A telegram chat Friend: So I kind of want to give Carrot a bath because he's a little bit of a greasy boy but he's also so fragile but I'm a little afraid to Me: I feel this way with pandora... dry Shampoos? Let me poke a cat groomer I know Friend: Yeah he's got both asthma and a significant heart murmur so I'm scared to stress him Me: Before they get online, my thought might be.... conditioning? As in behavioral So, the best baths I've given, we run only 2-3" of water into the sink, so I can stand up. I mix soap into the water and stir it up, so its sudsy. Then you carefully place kitty in and use a cup to gently work water up their coat But like, you can put a tiny amount of water in the sink, place a towel down for traction. Place him in so his paws get wet, then pet him, give him the highest value treat, and take him out without a bath. And work on his remaining calm. Because of the fragility of ancient man. Honestly, I might try this with Pandora. I'll let you know when the groomer gets back to me. She's usually very online, but has been less active lately. I'll also post to bsky

The Litter Robot being HSA/FSA approved is incredibly stupid and a great example of the US's broken ass healthcare system, but also, instead of that money vanishing, you can buy an expensive litter box for your cats! So heads up for those who may be interested!
An ad by Litter Robot stating that they are now hsa/fsa approved, which is a pre tax health savings account that usually requires you put your own money in, and if you don't use it by a certain date, it just vanishes. It's like "what if you purchase a gift card for your health, but we set an obnoxious expiration date on it" and it's very legal and common. Im probably exaggerating and somewhat incorrect, but I've seen people buy extra pairs of glasses or get weird elective procedures to use the last several hundred they have in their accounts, so having the ability to buy a litter box with it isn't the worst.

Life has been a lot lately. Grimm has been having some health challenges, and Chris has been on the road non stop for work. We are hoping to post a bunch over the holiday break.
