The WSJ found 13 similar cases. Thirteen. Makes it sound less like an accident than a strategy. "The Minneapolis shooting shares characteristics with others the Journal reviewed: Agents box in a vehicle, try to remove an individual, block attempts to flee, then fire." www.wsj.com/us-news/vide...
Videos Show How ICE Vehicle Stops Can Escalate to Shootings
A WSJ visual investigation found that the Minneapolis ICE killing is one of 13 incidents where federal immigration agents have used deadly force against civilians in vehicles since July.

Saw Hamnet on the big screen today and I became Aunt Georgiana in Willa Cather’s “A Wagner Matinee,” weeping helplessly, cathartically, joyfully.
Sublime, truly.

How are these fits of presidential incontinence never covered as their own news events in NYT? Hours of sick hateful bile from the curdled joyless leader of the Christian nationalists sitting in the ruins of the tinsel trimmed White House he’s demolishing — seems like a story to me.

If Santa doesn't put a ticket to Paris in my stocking, at least I have @theguardian.com's lovely sampling of MEP's Edward Weston exhibit. I esp ❤️ the modernist nude of Tina Modotti, who starred in the film adaptation of Elizabeth Dejeans' The Tiger's Coat in 1920. www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...

GLASHEEN: Antifa is our primary concern right now. That's the most immediate violent threat we're facing

BENNIE THOMPSON: Where is antifa headquartered?

GLASHEEN: ... ... ... we are building out the infrastructure right now

THOMPSON: What does that mean?

without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

Iowa doesn't have enough OB-GYNs. Is the state's abortion ban part of the problem?
Iowa ranks last among states for the number of OB-GYNS per capita. State legislators are trying to recruit more, but some doctors say the state's strict abortion ban is partially to blame.
