Despite rain and cold, the residents of #NewcastleWA really showed up to help out their neighbors, donating an estimated 300 to 400 pounds of food for the Margie Williams Helping Hands Center!

This was incredibly rewarding. If elected, I'll fight to fund the organizations that fill our basic needs.

#NewcastleWA really showed up for yesterday's food drive! The car is filled entirely across the back seat, with enough in the passenger seat to trigger the seat belt warning.

Power outages prevented delivery today, so we rescheduled for tomorrow.

Look at this stuff! Isn't it great? We'll be at Newcastle Library 'til... well 6. The rhyme breaks.

We got the biggest collection yet, a lady who had seen hard times herself, and brought in an entire TRUNKFUL of food!

It hasn't even been an hour and we've collected at least 20 pounds of food for the Margie Williams Helping Hands Center!

We'll be at the Newcastle Library until it closes at 6PM!

Here’s a sneak peek of the over **90 POUNDS** of campaign merch delivered for our campaign kickoff on Sunday.

Any guesses of what we got?

King County Parks does 70 volunteer events a year - more than one a week. Bringing equipment and expertise to a sponsored community volunteer event like the Cedar River Cleanup is a wise way to spend our money.

I was proud to help out this year, and even got a new bandana for my hat! #SweatySelfie

You're invited to my Campaign Kickoff and Food Drive at Lake Meridian Park (14800 SE 272nd St, Kent, WA) on Sunday, August 24th from 12pm-2pm!

We'll share food and beverages as you share your vision for King County District 9.

We'll also collect non-perishables for the local food bank!

Yesterday I volunteered at Sustainable Renton's Food Forest. Pruned, weeded, staked, and literally dug a ditch; together we made 100 feet of fence and a "small sedan" of compost.

As Councilman, I'll prioritize funding local projects that efficiently provide essential services like this.

Today I volunteered at Ayeko Farm, gleaning berries for FareStart's Mobile Community Market. FareStart provides food security and job opportunities; Ayeko Farm creates space for local and displaced communities to reconnect with the land through food and farming. I'm proud to help them both.

Last Thursday I volunteered at Elk Run Farm, a non-profit food bank farm that shares one of my core values: food access is a right. I helped harvest over 250 pounds of fresh produce over the course of 2 hours, all of which was donated to those in need through the South King County Food Coalition.

It is always morally correct to fight oppression! If authorities don't like it, you're getting in Good Trouble.

Thanks to everyone who protested alongside Maple Valley Indivisible on July 17. It was hot out there!

Yesterday, I went to volunteer with Fare Start, to harvest produce for their community markets and food industry training programs, by gleaning at Ayeko Farms in Enumclaw. Unfortunately, due to a lack of volunteers, the event was cancelled.

I’m excited to be hosting a hydration station at Black Diamond Miner’s Day today. If you’re feeling thirsty while walking around, feel free to come find me and get a cold water bottle and have a chat.
We’ll be around 'til 4pm to make sure everybody has a chance to say hi and get the water they need!

🌈 2/2: Today (Sunday) I accompanied my two youngest daughters to Seattle Pride.

The official headcount isn't out, but it's expected to be the largest Pride event that Seattle has ever hosted, with over 300,000 attendees, and I'm proud to have been one of them!

Loved talking to all the folks while running the CovTown Pride Hydration Station on Friday!

We handed out around 80 water bottles, and also gave out some convenient paper bags for carrying merch!

After several weeks of work, I'm proud to announce the release of my new campaign website at ElectJude.com!

Visit for an overview of my highest priorities, to find out where I'll be appearing next, or to ask for some help.

I'm excited to show you how I can represent you on King County Council!

I'll be at CovTown Pride tomorrow, running a hydration station, because the city of Covington withdrew funding. Come get a bottle and tell me how King County can serve you!

This #Trans flag pin that Eastside Pride PNW was handing out has earned itself a permanent spot on my hat.

Happy #PrideMonth2025 from Maple Valley! I attended our Farmer’s Market’s #Pride event with my daughter today!

Some local advocacy groups were giving away free merch, and we bought plants and some food from local artisans’ stalls. I even won a Lego set from the organizer’s free raffle!!

Proud to be a citizen of Maple Valley today.

Hauled this dresser for the Seattle chapter of Hot Mess Express www.facebook.com/share/1FKDvb..., a group that helps folks organize their lives. I had a great chat with one of their organizers after dropping it off!

Where can I help King County residents next? electjude.com/volunteer

Volunteered at SKTL @southkingtools.bsky.social and collected an estimated 12 cubic yards (0.85 CO2 tons!) of yard waste and 256 gallons of plastic recycling!

It's not in my district, but it serves my county. @katmabu.bsky.social am I doing this right?

I am proud to announce my candidacy for King County Council, District 9.

Most politicians hold galas for big donors - I volunteer and bend an ear to residents who can't buy a voice.

I want to #EarnTheVote by improving my county now, even before I'm elected.
