Hey, lunch break is a GREAT time to vote for me and take your ballot to one of the many drop boxes or voting centers near you: www.sos.wa.gov/elections/vo...! Post offices may invalidate your ballot by delaying the postmark.

Voting is the most powerful tool you have for civil change. Don't lose it!

I've spent the last couple of days texting folks and reminding them to vote by 8PM TONIGHT.

A few people have texted me back. There are a four kinds of replies (and two sub-types) I get:

Despite rain and cold, the residents of #NewcastleWA really showed up to help out their neighbors, donating an estimated 300 to 400 pounds of food for the Margie Williams Helping Hands Center!

This was incredibly rewarding. If elected, I'll fight to fund the organizations that fill our basic needs.

@katmabu.bsky.social was the inspiration for @electjude.bsky.social! He hosted a food drive in Newcastle WA yesterday that netted most of a sedan full of foods for the Margie Williams Helping Hands Center!

Southeast King County, get your ballots in! And consider voting Jude for King County Council!
Sounds a lot like what @katmabu.bsky.social is doing, making mutual aid a key component of her campaign www.goodgoodgood.co/articles/kat...

#NewcastleWA really showed up for yesterday's food drive! The car is filled entirely across the back seat, with enough in the passenger seat to trigger the seat belt warning.

Power outages prevented delivery today, so we rescheduled for tomorrow.

Look at this stuff! Isn't it great? We'll be at Newcastle Library 'til... well 6. The rhyme breaks.

We got the biggest collection yet, a lady who had seen hard times herself, and brought in an entire TRUNKFUL of food!

It hasn't even been an hour and we've collected at least 20 pounds of food for the Margie Williams Helping Hands Center!

We'll be at the Newcastle Library until it closes at 6PM!

GENUINELY considering hiring a social media manager. Between campaigning and family, I haven't been posting the way I would like to.

Either we ALL have rights, or NONE of us does.
It should be needless to say, but it is perhaps at this moment worth saying, that transgender individuals have the same right as anyone else to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Thank you, neighbors! Your generosity in yesterday's food drive in Sawyer's Crest brought $144 (72 pounds) of donations to the Maple Valley food bank. Thanks to everyone who participated, and to those who let us post direction signs in their yards! It was nice to see old friends and new faces!

Disrupting WORKING FIREFIGHTERS? This is the OPPOSITE of making us safer!

King County must strengthen its laws prohibiting our agencies from sharing data or otherwise cooperating except for judicial warrants.
1/ As the Bear Gulch fire burns the Olympic Peninsula, Border Patrol reportedly arrested two immigrant firefighters. WAISN is outraged by this clear disregard for safety, human rights, & dignity. This is climate injustice & immigration injustice colliding. 🧵 www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...

It's 2 weeks to Labor Day, and the federal judiciary just kneecapped the NLRB.

For nearly a century - and over 200 Supreme Court cases - the NLRB has protected workers' rights without constitutional challenge to its structure. I find this attack on worker rights unjustifiable and shameful.

King County Parks does 70 volunteer events a year - more than one a week. Bringing equipment and expertise to a sponsored community volunteer event like the Cedar River Cleanup is a wise way to spend our money.

I was proud to help out this year, and even got a new bandana for my hat! #SweatySelfie

Yesterday I volunteered at Sustainable Renton's Food Forest. Pruned, weeded, staked, and literally dug a ditch; together we made 100 feet of fence and a "small sedan" of compost.

As Councilman, I'll prioritize funding local projects that efficiently provide essential services like this.
