Regarding the Peralta trade, time will tell but it seems to be the sort of trade that has made the Brewers good for so long. Peralta is a great pitcher, but the Mets paid a high price for a rental.

Make no mistake. If Mets fans are angry today, its not bc they didn't sign Tucker. It's bc we're in this position to begin with. In mid Jan, we have a worse lineup than we did during last year's collapse. For those preaching patience, the season is rapidly approaching with few options left #MetsSky

If the reporting is true, there may be a small chance for the Mets signing Tucker. The Blue Jays are the only team offering him a long term deal & it sounds like he doesn't want to play in Toronto, similar to Alonso last year. If true, Mets could sign him on a short term deal with high AAV #MetsSky

The contract Okomato got was reasonable. It's still early in the offseason to judge it, but it's also late enough that Stearns "plan" becomes harder to decipher. #MetsSky

They will trade for Luis Robert Jr and a mid rotation starter. They'll offer Bellinger a 3 or 4 year deal, but he'll likely return to the Yankees. Beyond that I can't really predict how they will be without see what roster moves they make. But with the right moves I can see them competing for a WC.
