So I’m almost positive he can’t just unilaterally and arbitrarily “close down” international waters, since the whole point of international waters is that NOBODY OWNS THEM! 🤦🏻♀️

They actually brought a dead bird onto to porch and ate that once. I didn’t realize squirrels ate meat. It was…disturbing.
Luna doesn’t usually care about the squirrels but Freya freaks out. They’ll sit there and chatter at her and she keeps trying to claw the window to get out at them. 😂

When we went to see Modest Mouse and the Flaming Lips, the lead singer of the Flaming Lips kept trying to pump up the crowd more and more and more after every song and it was exhausting.
There’s only so much hype available in my 45-year old, Gen X, disabled body FFS.

So beautiful! I wish I lived closer to the ocean. It’s only like 20 miles away but in LA that means an hour and half drive, with most of it being stuck in traffic on the freeway.

I don’t know if you saw the conversation I had the other day with someone about ageism, but this idea that everyone, regardless of age or disability, is equally capable of all things is misguided.
We should be striving for equity, not equality, and differences should be celebrated.

Oh nice! I’m hopeful that if I have to end up getting a lawyer that they’ll be able to help. I was just hoping not to add yet another expense I can’t afford (although I know they take it out of your benefits if you get approved).

That’s the crazy part. They denied me because they “couldn’t confirm” that my conditions are truly debilitating. Then they listed the 15+ conditions I have.
How many people are able to work who have that many different medical conditions FFS??

I’m sorry it took so long! I can’t imagine they’ll be any faster here. 🙄
I’m still waiting on my appeal and then if they deny my appeal, I will have to get an attorney, because the next step is a hearing before a judge.

I think it’s especially frustrating because I didn’t recognize how disabled I was at first and so didn’t go about this the “right” way.
I tried for years to get well enough to work & lived off what savings I had before finally giving in to the inevitable & applying for disability.
And now I wait.
