Edina Coyote
@edinacoyote.bsky.social
Bone vivant of Edina, MN. Purveyor of non sequiturs. Advocate for two spaces and the Oxford comma. I like cake, dogs, music, hockey, and basketball -- not necessarily in that order. Tell your dog I said hi.
The original "Nosferatu" at The World Theater (now the Fitz) with live organ accompaniment. Feeling like I was seeing my great-grandparents when watching "Sweet Land" at the Riverview. Seeing "Rebecca" on the big screen at long last.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Far Side fans: Read the replies.
I could use a laugh this morning, so: what are y'all's favorite Far Side cartoons?

You too, Affy. 😍 Then again, it's hard for us *not* to look great.
Affirmation Coyote thinks you look great today.

Notes from the midnight and morning constitutionals:
1. Midnight: We finally heard a flock of snow geese heading south. It was too cloudy to see them, though.

2. Morning: The bluejays were mobbing. Unclear why they were in such a tizzy, but the local Cooper's hawks are often to blame.

In retrospect, putting roasted root vegetables on today's menu was not the smartest choice, given the recently injured front paw. #OwOwOw

Hey, you! Put on your coat and go out to look at the eastern sky. It's phenomenal -- especially Jupiter in the east and Sirius in the low southeastern sky.

In my script treatment for the next Paddington movie, the beloved bear returns to Peru and becomes the George Washington Carver of blueberries. Queen Elizabeth then rises from the dead to make Paddington a Knight Grand Cross in the Order of the British Empire. The two share a marmalade sandwich.

We have entered the worst season of the year: Peruvian blueberry season.

Note from the late-night constitutional:

🚨🚨🚨 The ginkgo leaves are falling. 🚨🚨🚨

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 I repeat: THE GINKGO LEAVES ARE FALLING. 🚨🚨🚨

PuppyFren™ and I bet a few bones that the ginkgos would drop their leaves last night. We lost. 🙁

Notes from the morning constitutional:

1. The birds are quiet today. Still traumatized by last night, I'm guessing.

2. PuppyFren™ and I collected so many abandoned bits and bobs from the urchins' costumes that we are pretty much set for next year.

We fast.
A quick glimpse of a running coyote, from a few days ago. Video slowed down to 25 percent of actual speed.

You know that kid in an inflatable coyote costume? That wasn't a kid.

This year's Halloween vino is a 2007 Barbera d'Asti Superiore. A few years past its prime, perhaps, but pretty delizioso nonetheless.

Who would like to hear my story about the Halloween Blizzard of 1991?

Murder, she manifested.
Murder, she provoked
Murder, she poked.

Notes from the morning constitutional:

1. The crows were engaged in aerial combat with a pair of what appeared to be merlins. 😲

2. We observed Leo the Cat attempting to crash morning mass at the local parish. We overheard him telling the ushers he was Il Papa.

Three things are certain: Death, taxes, and the fact I will not lack for canning lids in the event of another pandemic.

This is a fun little bop -- quite reminiscent of HAIM's "The Wire."

They were desperate. Starbucks wouldn't let them use the restroom without purchasing something.
Found on Reddit. Yes, it’s a real video, not AI, and yes it just keeps getting weirder.

What can I say? They tried to give me soy milk instead of the real thing.
oh it's @edinacoyote.bsky.social trying to order coffee
Typical coyote conversation.
