My partner's gift to me this holiday season was the greatest and most cursed image yet taken of Sushi, preserved in acrylic for the ages. She took this image of him months ago, and we constantly sent it back and forth.

Spent the last while reading through the "Remembrance of Earth's Past" trilogy of novels by Cixin Liu. Phenomenal sci-fi. Horrifying events, both explicitly portrayed and implied. An incredible story that wonderfully keeps you guessing throughout. Gargantuan scope, and I can't recommend it enough.

There was a societal failure in not really stamping out that so-called "ethics movement" back in the early 2010s, and there's very much another failure in platforms like Steam not stamping out the little cults of "woke detector," "Sweet Baby detector," and other curators, groups, and communities.

For anyone who's played Ys IX on PC, got a question. If you ran your draw distance at Lunatic settings, what kind of hit did you see to your performance? I still consider my ROG Strix 3080 to be pretty high-end, but any guesses on how mad it's gonna get at me for maxing out all the settings at 1440?
