Postdoctoral fellow at DIAS, Dublin. Seismologist, Geophysicist, Gardener and Cook. Particular interests in magma, joint inversion and geothermal energy.
New subsurface temperature models for Ireland have been published! In this work we used a joint geophysical petrological inversion to solve directly for temperature.

In a study of professors, women got 378 new work requests over 4 weeks vs 118 for men. Women spent more time on service, advising & teaching; men on research. Orgs should track who is taking extra duties & ensure they are rewarded and distributed fairly. www.forbes.com/sites/kimels...

Women are more likely to take on behind-the-scenes duties at work—extra tasks like onboarding or event planning—and it's hurting their careers. Here's how to say no.

Heads-up! I just posted a new batch of Lawetlat’la (Mt St Helens), Tahoma (Mt Rainier) and Erebus (Antarctica) scale model 3D-printed volcano tissue box covers in my shop. This is the first time Tahoma has been offered in InSAR colors.

Just ordered one! Excellent design. Definitely recommend ordering one ASAP
It's 100 days until Xmas (yep, I know) so it's officially acceptable to start thinking about it!
Pre-orders for my #geology xmas jumpers is open! And the link is my bio :) They are more nerdy than ugly, but sure to make you a contender for the office's jumper competition!

Excellent 2 days of fieldwork for the GRANNUS and MOD3LTHERM projects. 100% data recovery in Northern Ireland and we installed a fence to protect the equipment from cows. Thanks to Eoghan Totten @dias_geophysics
and Rob Raine @GeoSurveyNI for making this possible #Diasdiscovers.
